🌸 June 2025 Birth Support Skills Workshop Recap
Throughout 2025, we have gathered in Anchorage for powerful weekends of learning, connection, and community care. Our Birth Support Skills Workshop brought together an incredible group of future doulas—parents, healers, artists, and advocates—each with a deep commitment to supporting birth in their families and communities.
Over two days, we practiced hands-on comfort measures, explored the role of a doula, reflected on birth justice, and shared stories in a space rooted in cultural humility, joy, and belonging. Babies were held, tears were honored, and laughter echoed through the room.
These photos capture just a few glimpses of the care and courage shared these weekends. Thank you to everyone who showed up so fully—we’re grateful to walk this path with you.
🍂 Fall 2024 Full Embrace Doula Training Recap
Our Fall 2024 cohort came together with heart, purpose, and a shared vision: to deepen their knowledge, build community, and offer culturally-rooted birth support to families across Alaska.
Throughout the training, we explored the full arc of birthwork—from advocacy and scope of practice to comfort measures, postpartum care, and holding space through grief and joy. Together, we asked hard questions, practiced new skills, and honored the traditions and wisdom that live within each of us.
This cohort included parents, artists, aunties, health workers, and changemakers from all walks of life. What formed was more than a class—it was a circle of support, resistance, and radical love.
We are so proud of this group and all they’ve poured into their learning. These photos offer a small window into the power and beauty of what was created together.
